Creating a Webclip

Web Clips are exclusively available for iOS devices. They offer a quick way to access frequently visited websites without needing to open Safari and navigate to the site manually. Web Clips function like an app but without requiring a download from the App Store.

To set up a Web Clip with Mobile Guardian, you will need to do so through the profile. Follow the steps below:

Select the relevant profile you want to add the Web Clip to by going to...

• Profiles
• Select the Pencil icon to the right of the profile

• On the WHAT tab,
• Select Webclip and Wallpaper option

• Select New Webclip
• On the new window complete all the fields and options available. 

Icon

The icon to display on the home page for the Web Clip

Label

The name to display on the home page for the Web Clip

URL

The URL that the Web Clip should open when clicked. Must begin with http:// or https://

Removable (toggle)

If checked then the user can remove the Web Clip from the device. Note: it will be removed if the profile is deleted from the device.

Once saved and the profile is pushed to the device, the icon will appear on the device homescreen as an app.
