Updating to the latest OS version offers enhanced security and new features, but these updates can sometimes occur at inconvenient times or contain bugs. To avoid interruptions or wait for a more stable version, Mobile Guardian allows you to postpone iOS updates within device profile restrictions.
Administrators can delay updates for up to 90 days. Follow these steps to configure this setting within a profile:
Select the Required Profile:
- Navigate to the profile you want to modify.
Configure Restrictions:
- Go to the "What" tab.
- Select "Restrictions."
- Enable "Block application installation removal."
- Set "Delays user visibility of Software Updates" to the desired delay period (default is 30 days).
By configuring these settings, you can control when your devices receive OS updates, minimising potential disruptions and ensuring a smoother user experience.
