The bulk actions feature in the Devices tab is designed to streamline the management of multiple Chromebook devices on your Mobile Guardian dashboard. This tool allows you to efficiently apply actions to all or selected devices at once, saving time and ensuring consistency across your device fleet.
Accessing Bulk Actions
- Navigate to the Devices tab on your dashboard.
- Select the devices you wish to manage.
- Click the Actions button to view the available bulk actions.
Available Bulk Actions for Chromebook Devices
Once you access the bulk actions menu, you can perform the following actions on your selected Chromebook devices:
- Refresh Selected Devices: Refreshes the devices and re-applies all profiles and settings from the dashboard.
- Get Installed Applications: Scans the devices for installed applications and updates the Installed Applications list.
- Add Tags: Add specific tags to the selected devices.
- Remove Tags: Remove any tags previously applied to the selected devices.
- Remove Selected Devices: Remove the selected devices from the dashboard.
Additional Bulk Actions
Scrolling down within the Actions menu reveals more options:
- Assign to Teachers Group: Assign the selected devices to the Teachers Group.
- Create Inventory Record: Create an inventory record for the selected devices.
- Stop Single App Mode: Forcefully stops Single App Mode that was enabled on the devices from a profile.
- Application Access/Debug Pin: This allows you to change the debug pins on the selected Chromebook devices.
- Vacation Mode: Enables or disables Vacation Mode on the selected devices.
Monitoring Bulk Actions
After initiating a bulk action, you can monitor its progress in the Bulk Action Queue. The queue provides a detailed overview, showing whether actions are queued, pending, or completed, as well as specific results for each device.
This ensures that you have complete visibility and control over the actions being performed across your Chromebook devices.
