The Web Filter report logs browser activity/history of devices and users at the school, allowing admins to view all activity and take appropriate action when needed. Reports are available to admins from the dashboard's reporting tab.
Important Note
All teachers and students must use the Mobile Guardian Safe Browser for the activity to display correctly. An exception is Chromebooks, which use Chrome to provide this activity information.

What is Displayed in the Web Filter Report
A Web Filter report is a history of all web browsing on a device, with a line-by-line record of information including the date, URL, and web filter categories. You can view student browser activity in class or in general, analyze trends, and see multiple visits to certain websites.
Information Included in the Web Filter Reports:
- Last Accessed: The date the device last accessed the activity
- Activity: URL visited or domain accessed
- Profile: Profile active at the time of the entry
- Student Name: The student associated with the activity
- Device: The name of the device that accessed the URL
- Status of the URL: Allowed or blocked depending on active profile settings
- URL Count: The number of times the device accessed this URL
- Actions: Allows adding the URL or domain to the blocklist (only from the Dashboard Web Filter report)
Using Advanced Filtering and Saving Custom Filters
To create your own report, use the available filters to customize the data you wish to report on. Below are descriptions for each filter:
- Last Accessed: By default, a report is set to the last 24 hours. This can be altered by selecting the filter button, choosing a pre-determined range, or using the calendar widget to select a custom range.
- Devices: Select certain devices or search for a specific device by typing its name.
- Students: Select the student you wish to view reports for.
- Classes: Filter web filter history by class to see what was accessed during a specific class only.
- Status: Filter between all, allowed and blocked URLs and domains.
- Type: Filter by all, matched categories, matched keywords, and searches.

- Specify a report name.
- Select "Save" or "Save as" next to the Apply button at the bottom.

Exporting a Report
- Go to the Reports section on the dashboard and select Web Filter Reports.
- Apply any saved filters by selecting the filter button on the top right and choosing a saved filter or applying filters for a temporary report.

- View your downloaded file, which contains the web filter report you exported.
Viewing an Individual Device's Browser History
A student's device has a browser history that appears in chronological order, starting with the most recent content. Any time they navigate to a new page, it provides a new line showing the status of the website visited (blocked or allowed).
Information Contained Within:
- Created: The date the URL or domain was accessed, creating the log.
- Web Address: The URL that was visited.
- Profile and Status: Indicates the profile active at the time of the log and the allowed/blocked status of the URL according to the profile's web filter settings.
