Teacher groups empower teachers to control student devices and actions in the classroom. With these groups, teachers can manage iOS applications, books, and student activities.
By following these steps, you can efficiently manage Teacher groups and provide teachers with the tools they need to create an effective learning environment.
Managing Teacher Groups in Mobile Guardian
As an Administrator, follow these steps to create and manage teacher groups:
- Log into Mobile Guardian:
- On the navigation panel on the left, click on Devices and then select Teacher Groups.
- Create a Teacher Group:
- Click on Add Teacher Group +.
- Fill in Group Information:
- On the Info page, enter the Group Name.
- Set permissions in two areas:
- Devices: Permissions to administer devices.
- Student Linking: Permission to link students to the group.
- Save the Group:
- After entering the necessary information and setting permissions, click on the Create button at the bottom right corner.
Assigning Devices to Teacher Groups
- Navigate to the Devices Tab:
- Assign student devices to the Teacher group by selecting the devices needed for that teacher.
- Bulk Assign Devices:
- In the Devices section, click on All Devices.
- Select the devices from the list, click on Actions, and choose Assign to Teacher Groups from the dropdown menu.
- Search and assign the relevant Teacher group.
Adding Teachers to Teacher Groups
- Search for Teachers:
- In the Teacher Group section, use the input field to search for the teacher’s name.
- Select the relevant teacher and click the Add button to link the teacher to that group.
Managing Applications
- Assign Applications:
- In the Application tab of the Teacher group section, assign applications that teachers need for their classes.
- Classroom Management Dashboard:
- The added applications will appear in the Classroom Management dashboard for use during classes.
Important Notes
- Ensure you click the Save button on the Info tab to apply any changes made.
- Teachers can request licenses or access to applications needed during a class.
