Administrators can push media (Web URLs, Videos, Audio) and online books to all or selected devices using tags, linked to the school. These will be displayed in the My Catalogue section on the device, for students to easily access.
This content can also be selected by teachers when planning their classes.
- Administrators will navigate to the content tab on the school administrator dashboard.
Media
To add media, the administrator would select the Add New option on the media tab.
On the new Add New Media tab, the administrator would add the following:
- Title
- Description
- Select the Media type (Web URLs, Videos, Audio)
- Content availability
- Settings
- Cache (The application would attempt to download and cache the content on the device, rather than retrieving from the remote address)
- Mass assign
- Home owned (Assign to all home-owned (personal) devices)
- School-owned (Assign to all school-owned devices)
- Tags
Once added the administrator would see the added media and be able to edit each when needed by selecting the pencil icon or the trash can to delete the added media.
Books
Books work similarly to apps, with minor differences depending on the book type. VPP books can be pushed to devices, and users can view them from the iBooks section or open them from within the app if they are PDFs.
Important Notes:
- Know the type of App/Book/Media you want to allow.
- Be aware of available licenses (e.g., VPP licenses).
- Understand profile restrictions as they affect access.
