The internet offers a world of opportunities for learning and fun, but it can also be a source of worry for parents. With so much content out there, how can you ensure your child is safe while they explore? This guide will walk you through setting up web filtering on their home profile, giving you the tools to manage and control the content they can access. You'll learn how to customise settings, block or allow specific sites, and respond to your child's requests, all to help create a safer, more secure online environment for your family.
Accessing Safe Content:
To access the safe content settings, navigate to the settings by selecting the Gear icon on the child card and selecting Settings.
Select the Safe Content option.
Within the Safe Content settings, you will need to enable the Web filtering option.
Configuring Safe Content
Once enabled, you will be able to select the pre-configured category configurations:
High: Very restrictive, blocking all harmful content and all adult-related sites.
Moderate: Moderately restrictive, protects against all adult-related sites.
Low: Minimal restrictions, blocking only potentially harmful content.
None: Nothing Blocked
After selecting a pre-configured category configuration, you can edit it or add it to the Allowed Category list by selecting the drop-down and choosing the desired category.
At the end of the same page, you will be able to add individual URLs to block or allow while the Parent Baseline is active.
Other Safe Content Features and Settings
Within the Safe Content settings. You will be presented with a few other options:
Block all traffic: Blocks all web traffic while the profile is active
Allow only Safe Traffic: Only allows Web URLs that are stipulated in the URL Allowed List
URL Tester: You will be able to test a URL to see if it will be blocked or allowed by the Web Filter that is applied, or which Category the URL falls under. You will be able to Block or Allow the category from here as well.
Enable YouTube filter: With the YouTube filter, you can set Categories, Channels and Specific Video URLs to be blocked or allowed.
Within the Safe Content settings, you will be able to Access Requests from your child if they have been blocked from a specific website and require you to give them access.

When selecting to accept the request, you would be able to allow the Specific URL or the Domain. Depending on your selection, it will be added to the Allowed list of your Web Filter settings.
