Parent permissions groups are designed to provide schools the ability to give parents selected permissions in order to manage their child's device after school hours.
About Permissions Groups:
- Permission groups are controlled at the district level.
- The only functionality available at the school level would be the assigning of parents to groups.
- Any parent linked to the school later would be allocated the same default permission groups and permissions seeded to them on creation. The administrator may move the parent accordingly.
- A user may only belong to one permission group for their role per school.
- If a parent exists at multiple schools, the permissions allowed for the parent will be set to the most restrictive.
- Admins would be able to create separate permission groups for Parents.
- Admins would be able to add Parents to different Permission Groups
Assigning Parents to groups
Parents must be assigned to groups at the individual schools and not at the district. The district is only responsible for the management of the groups and the related permissions.
New Parents
A parent may be invited from either the school portal. When the parent is created, the parent will be assigned to the default parent group. The administrator may move the parent accordingly.
