The Mobile Guardian Classroom Management Tool empowers educators to effectively manage student devices during active class sessions. A critical aspect of this management is the ability to quickly ascertain the connection status of student devices, ensuring teachers have clear, real-time insights into device connectivity.
Understanding the "Screen Share Status" Feature
When a class is active in the Mobile Guardian platform, teachers can select the Screen Share Status icon to access the "Screen Share status table" table. This table is designed to show the real-time connection state of the device to the class to provide teachers with a more intuitive and actionable overview of device connection states.
The best practices for interpreting and utilising this feature:
Visual Cues for Instant Recognition
- Color-Coding:
- Green: Indicates "Connected" or "Screen Sharing Active."
- Red: Indicates "Disconnected" or "Screen Sharing Inactive/Issue."
- Yellow/Orange: Indicates "Pending Connection," "Low Bandwidth," or "Minor Issue" (e.g., student prompted but not yet accepted).
Actionable Insights
- Direct Actions from Status: If a device is disconnected, you as the teacher, may click the screen share status icon.
- Select “Reconnect" or “Try again”
