Dear Guardian
We successfully deployed the latest PHP security update to Mobile Guardian on 22 October. It addressed critical security vulnerabilities in PHP that affected websites and services worldwide.
What we did
Our engineering and security team applied the fix in line with guidance published by the PHP project.
About this issue
The vulnerabilities were in PHP itself, which led national cyber security agencies to issue alerts.
In the UK, the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) encouraged organisations to take immediate action, and in the US the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) advised the same.
