Configuring your school Wi-Fi settings within your Baseline Profile streamlines the Enterprise Mobility Management (EMM) QR code enrollment process. By embedding your network credentials directly into the profile, devices will automatically connect to the school's network during setup, eliminating the need for manual Wi-Fi entry.
Steps
- Navigate to and select Profiles
- Select the Baseline profile
- Select the What tab
- Select the Network option
- Ensure you are on the WIFI & Proxy tab and select Add New
Mandatory settings:
These fields are required to establish a valid network connection:
- Wifi Description: Name of the Wireless Network (e.g. Library).
- Service Set Identifier (SSID): Identification name of the wireless network to connect to.
- Auto Join: If this SSID is found, then attempt to log in automatically.

Security Type: Select your WiFi security type
- None
- WEP
- WPA/WPA 2 Personal
- WPA 2 Personal
- Any Personal
- Password: Your WiFi password/passcode
Optional settings
These fields can be configured based on your school's specific network infrastructure:
- Hidden Network: Enable if the targeted network is not open or broadcasting
- Disable Captive Network Detection: Captive Network detection will be bypassed when the device connects to the network
- Disable Association MAC Randomization: Disables MAC address randomization for that Wi-Fi network while associated with the network. This also shows a privacy warning in Settings indicating that the network has reduced privacy protections. Available in iOS 14 and later and watchOS 7 and later.
- Proxy type: Configure proxy settings if your network routes traffic through a proxy server.
- Certificate: Certificate for authenticating the connection

Once you have saved these settings to your Baseline Profile, proceed to configure your Android Settings on your Mobile Guardian Dashboard. The generated EMM enrollment QR code will now automatically include these Wi-Fi configurations, allowing for a hands-free network setup during device provisioning.
