Overview:
The application install queue allows the Admin to monitor the status of application installation and removals for IOS devices on the School.
This setting is found under Devices > Application Install queue
The following example contains 2 devices that have pending tasks:
For a detailed view of the pending tasks, click on the device row and the following screen will be displayed:
Here the status of each pending task can be seen.
- An application will only be processed by the background queue if each status column has a
- Last seen valid:
indicates that the device has not been seen within a rolling 24 hour period and it will not be picked up by the background sync.
- No pending actions:
indicates that there is a pending action/command for the device - no records will be processed until the device has responded or 30 minutes have passed since the last action.
- Send after valid:
indicates that the individual application has had at least 1 command issued and the device has either failed or not responded. The application will become valid once the specified time has been exceeded.
As the pending tasks are processed a notification will pop up to confirm success and the list will be updated.
