Duplicating Your Classes in Mobile Guardian

To make the class setup more efficient, Mobile Guardian has introduced a feature to duplicate existing classes. This feature allows you to replicate your class settings, content, and configurations easily, reducing the need to manually reconfigure each class. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to duplicate your classes.

Setting Up Your Classes

If you haven't created your classes yet, refer to the How to Add a Class guide for assistance.

What You Can Duplicate:

• Students or devices
• Class Content
• Modes

Steps to Duplicate Your Classes:

• Navigate to the My Classes Section:
  • Go to your Classroom Management Console and ensure you are on the My Classes section.
• Select the Class to Duplicate:
  • Click on the menu item of the class you would like to duplicate.
  • Select the Duplicate class option.

• Rename Your New Class:
  • A modal will appear where you can rename your newly created class.

#Note: If you do not rename the class, it will have the title "Copy" displayed.

• Select Items to Copy:
  • Choose whether to add existing content, students/devices, or modes to the new class by ticking the respective options.
  • Note: If your original class consists of students, you will have the option to copy students. If it consists of devices, you will have the option to add devices.
• Copy Class:
  • Click Copy Class.
  • You will be directed to the newly created class to start configuring it.

• Verify Class Material:
  • Navigate to the Class Material section. You will notice that apps and web filter configurations have been copied to your new class.

• View and Edit the New Class:
  • Go back to My Classes to view your new class.
  • You can edit the class to add additional teachers or change the schedule by clicking on the Edit Class option.
