The Manage Tabs feature gives you, the teacher, visibility and control over all open tabs running in your class session. You can view, open, and dismiss browser tabs on a particular student's Chromebook or all students' devices within a session.

Managing Tabs for an Individual Student
Follow these steps to manage the tabs on a specific student's device:

Accessing the Tab Component
- On the individual student's card, click on the Tab Component.

Viewing the Student's Live Screen and Open Tabs
- This will bring up a detailed view of the individual student's live screen and open tabs.

Adding a Tab
- Type the URL in the Input Field provided and click on the + icon.
- The student's device will automatically open the pushed URL.

Closing Unwanted Tabs
- To close any unwanted tabs, click on the x (close) icon. The tab will immediately be removed from the student's device.
Well Done! You can now move on to managing tabs for all students at once.
Managing Tabs for All Students
The multiple tab management view displays a list of all the opened tabs across all the devices in your classroom. The steps below will help you access and manage all the tabs from a single interface.
Step-by-Step Instructions

Selecting Devices
- To access tab management, select specific students by ticking the boxes on their student cards, or alternatively, use the "Select All devices" option for Chromebooks.

Opening Manage Tabs
- Once you have selected your desired option, click on Manage Tabs from the toolbar which should appear on the top or bottom of the page.

Viewing Open Tabs
- In this view, you can see the number of devices running a specific tab. To get a detailed view of which students or devices are on an individual tab, click on one of these top-level domains.

- Type the URL in the Input Field provided and click the + icon.

- Click on the Focus icon for a top-level domain (e.g., YouTube).

- Scroll to the relevant students and click on the Focus icon for that tab.

- If many devices or tabs are open during a session, you can close all tabs on all Chromebook devices using the "Close All Tabs" button.
