Removing Mobile Guardian from your devices varies by the operating system.
Apple (AC2) non DEP - The remote profile can be removed from the device management section of Settings. (Settings > General > Device Management)
Apple – DEP: Device must be managed via the DEP portal (moved to another MDM server for example), the device would also need to be factory reset to completely remove the MG MDM remote profile.
Android – Mobile Guardian would have to be removed as a device administrator from settings and then the app removed, please consult your device manual for specific information.
If prompted for a Pin please try the default pin: 1234
When using the school dashboard a custom Pin could also be set in the Global preferences or on the device information page.
Andoird EMM - You must Factory reset device (note the current managed email address of the device if you are using GSuite - you will be asked to sign in with that email after the device wipe) - You can wipe either on the device or from the dashboard. if blocked on the device.
You may then Remove/Delete the device from the dashboard.
Chromebooks – The device would need to be managed via the G-Suite portal (The removal process is basically just undoing the steps which were taken to put the device into MG).
MacOS – Remove the MG extension from your browser.
