This article provides a step-by-step guide to ensure that the latest version of the Chromebook extension is automatically updated and sent to linked accounts.
Automatically Update Your Chromebook Extension
Access Your Google Workspace Account:
- Log in to your Google Workspace account.
- Select the Chrome browser dropdown.
- Click on Apps & Extensions.
Select the Organizational Unit:
- Choose the related Organizational Unit from the list.
Manage Users & Browsers:
- On the window that appears on the right, ensure you are on the Users & Browsers tab.
- Select the Mobile Guardian extension.
Adjust Version Pinning:
- In the new window that appears, navigate to the Version Pinning dropdown.
- Ensure that the version is not pinned. If it is pinned to a previous version, select the dropdown and change it to Not Pinned.
Save Changes:
- Click Save in the top right corner of the screen.
Important Note
By following these steps, you will not leave any specific version marked. This allows the extension to be updated to the latest available version whenever an update is released.
